Hi There,

There's not a lot going on at the time being.  It's kind of the calm before the storm.  May is a very busy month.  Hope the weather gets a little warmer!!

We do need to make up a snow day.  June 10 will now be our last day of school.

Soccer registration is open.  Contact Dave Skinner at NMC for sign up.

NED yo-yo's are still on sale through Wednesday.  Cost ranges from $7-$15.

Mileage club should be able to start up this week.  It was too wet and muddy last week.  Let's cross our fingers!!  Mrs. Kelly is still in need of helpers!  Please contact her at 825-2021.  I also have a link to her blog on my blog, you can contact her through that as well.

Surprise day is coming up in May.  This is a secret to the class.  Don't say a word!!!  Your job is to send a few letters to your child.  You may also ask friends and family to send them in as well.  Have them sent to McBain Elementary, 107 E. Maple Street, McBain, Mi 49657.  Make sure you put on there your child's name and my name as well.  On Surprise day we have a lot of fun opening our mail from our family and friends.  I will also be sending a letter home soon about this.  It's a fun and exciting day!!

Fun to be fit t-Shirt order forms are due on Monday, April 22.  Super exited about this event as well!!

Welcome back!

I hope that everyone enjoyed their spring break.  It's always nice to have a little break around this time of the year.  We are in the long haul until summer vacation with lots to learn!!!  We have started the countdown to the last day of school.  We are at 41 more days!!  It will be here before we know it!

A few announcements:

3rd grade book store will be on Tuesday.  Books are 25 cents to $2.  Please make sure you put your child's money in an envelope with his/her name on it.  This money goes to help pay for a field trip at the end of the year.

We received and email today informing us that we do have to make up a day of school and therefore the last day of school is now Monday, June 10.  It will be a full day.

Mileage club starts Monday!!  Yay!  Hopefully the playground and the weather will cooperate!

Kaden is the first one to make it to 200 books read with his reading journal!!!!  He earned himself a Butterfinger candy bar!!  Way to read, Kaden!!
